Privacy Policy

The developer sets out this Privacy Policy ("Policy") regarding the handling of user information in the app "Chinese Idiom Master (中文成语大师)" ("the App") provided by the developer.
1. Basic policy
The App does not ask you to register directly identifying information such as your name, address, phone number, or email address. There is no account or sign-in, and there are no in-app purchases. Your learning records and settings are, in principle, stored only on your device and are not sent to the developer's servers. To improve quality and to offer the App for free (with ads), certain third-party services described below do collect some information.
2. Information stored on your device
The following is stored only on your device (in the App's database and settings) and is not sent to the developer's servers:
- Information about your studying and quizzes (scores, answer history, learned status, study time, bookmarks, and so on)
- App settings such as language preference
This information is erased when you delete the App from your device. Some of it is sent to Firebase Analytics as usage statistics that do not identify you personally (see the next section).
3. Information collected by third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, which collect and process information under their own privacy policies.
Firebase (Google LLC)
- Firebase Analytics: collection and analysis of information about app usage that does not identify you personally
- Firebase Crashlytics: detection and diagnosis of crashes and issues
- Firebase Remote Config / Installations: delivering feature and ad settings, identifying the app instance
AdMob (Google LLC)
Because the App is free, it displays ads via Google AdMob (such as rewarded video ads). To deliver ads, an advertising identifier and device-related information may be collected, and personalized ads may be shown depending on your consent and tracking settings.

4. Purposes of use
- Providing App features (saving study, quiz, and record data)
- Detecting issues and improving quality and usability
- Delivering and measuring ads so the App can be offered for free
- Replying to and handling inquiries
5. Data retention and deletion
Information stored on your device is erased when you delete the App. Retention and deletion of information collected by third-party services follow each provider's policy.
6. Changes to this Policy
The developer may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws or App features. If there are significant changes, they will be announced on this page or within the App.
7. Contact
For inquiries about this Policy, please contact the developer via "My Page > Contact us" in the App, or at the email address below. When you contact the developer from the App, the email is pre-filled with your device model, OS version, and the App version to help investigate issues (you can edit it before sending). Your email address and message are used solely to reply and address the issue.
